Peter Hadar

PeterHadarCD

Rahsaan Patterson says "Peter Hadar IS the 'Coolest Weirdo", and Eric Roberson says, "Pete had developed into a great writer and dope artist" Born Peter Winstead, JR-releases Memories Of The Heart on his own record label imprint, Good Weirdo. His plans for a successful career in the fashion industry died out, and he turned his ambition to music making. Now, with his debut album out, he couldn't have made a better decision. Peter Hadar adds someting different to the modern soul scene. Songs just never fail to impress through out this twelve song record, from the first cut Provider, to Never Again, Need Love, the brilliant Thunder, to the soulful U Don't Love Me. Please! is addictive, as is the song Explosive.

Davina

DavinaCD

Davina, literally returns with Return To Soul Vol. 1, released late in 2007 on independent record label Hustle Mode. If your thinking, where have I heard that name before? You're not going crazy, Davina has been here before, just this time in a different place and much more soulful. Dropped from LOUD Records, she had a successful debut album, Best Of Both Worlds in 1998. Now, Return To Soul Vol. 1 is heading in the right direction, an album that expresses the highest levels of creativity no major label could offer and genres that include R&B, soul, jazz, and dance. Songs cover lyrics about love, joy, pain, and every emotion in between. Lets Stay Together is the strongest out of the eleven, but you also have great listening moments with Ready, Red Sky, Get Live, My Blues Away, Gone, Walk On Bue, Is It The Way.

JC Davis

A New Day! is a complete collection of JC Davis and his Mus-I-Col Recordings. Fans of dance floor funk, soul and rare groove will lovingly listen to this new JC Davis release. NW & TSI

NicoleWillisCD

Nicole Willis & The Soul Investigators get a full remix of their album Keep On Reachin’ Up, and it isn’t all that great. Producers include Aaron Jerome, Mr. Scruff, Rob Life, The Dynamics, Mike Slott, Blacbeard, Simbad, Lack Of Afro, Afronaut, Ghost and Elizabeth Shepherd. Firstly, you will find Nicole Willis and her voice seem some what flat over the rather heavy rare groove re-works. And this is not the only fault. However, lots of discoveries are to be found (a few weak listening points), but over all an interesting and creative remix album.
